This multi-level home in Santa Barbara steps down a steep grade on a hard to build triangular site. Subtle contemporary details infuse the Spanish influenced Santa Barbara Style using traditional clay tile, smooth trowelled plaster, and copper and sandstone materials. With circular central stairs connecting all levels, movement through the home and the openness between living spaces is fluid, and unexpected given the constraints of the site.
